Resources: AgCom Forum & AgCom Yahoo! List Serve

At the March 18, 2006 Agricultural Commission Meeting held in Southeastern Massachusetts, the request to communicate with other AgComs was heard repeatedly.  The AgCom Yahoo List Serve was created to serve the communication needs of AgComs.  This unique tool offers AgCom members a way to share and learn valuable information with others.  The List Serve is easy to use and free to join.

Instructions on How to join the List Serve for Agricultural Commissions

If you already have a yahoo account, login and password:

Step 1.  Go to www.yahoo.com
Step 2.  Go to Groups
Step 3  Go to Find a Group and search on agricultural commissions
Step 4.  Click on Join this group
Step 5.  Follow Directions

Or…

Step 1:
Send an email message to Kelly Savary Powers, Pilgrim RC&D Secretary: kelly.savary@ma.usda.gov, and let her know you that you would like to join the agriculturalcommissions list serve group.

Step 2:
You will receive an email invitation to join the agricultural commissions list serve group.  

Click on Join this group!
This is located in a box; a few spaces below “Join this group!”

Step 3:
You will then come to the Invitation to Join agricultural commissions.  Here you will be welcomed to Yahoo! Groups! With a note that this is a pre-approved invitation.  There will be a brief introduction on the homepage. 
Scroll to the bottom of the screen to the Join the group link (located in a larger box at bottom of screen)

Click on Join the group

Step 4:
You will then come to the Join This Group Page where you will need to complete a form to become a member of agricultural commissions list serve group.
Complete the following:
Yahoo Profile (enter requested information)
Email Address (list your email address)
Message Delivery (click on individual or daily)
Message Format (click Convert to HTML, this allows you to see colors and graphics in your messages)

At the end of this page you will need to complete the word verification Input the combination of numbers and/or letters located in the box.  This is just a precautionary measure to prevent automated registrations.

After you have filled in the combination,
Click the button Join located just below to the right.

Step 5:
You will come to the Membership Confirmed page where you will be congratulated for becoming a new member of the group agriculturalcommissions! 

On this page you will see your:
Email Address
Yahoo Profile
Message Delivery
